The color camel has been going strong in fashion the past few fall seasons. This staple color is seen in coats, boots, sweaters, skirts and more. As long as you have at least one piece in your wardrobe that is of this classically fall color, you will definitely be on-trend.
Camel is such a great transitional color. If you live in a state like me, one day it’s a hot summer’s day at 80 degrees, and the next fall hits you and it’s a brisk 50 degrees. Since it can be hard to transition straight out of your summer clothing due to bipolar weather, all you have to do is add nice camel tones to your outfit. You can put on a camel-colored scarf over your tank top or put on a pair of camel-colored boots with your mini skirt. When you pop on any shade of camel, it seamlessly transitions your look from summer to fall.
The easiest way to incorporate this color into your outfit is to throw on a scarf. Scarves are great because they serve a dual purpose: they keep your neck warm and are super fashionable! This Fashionista decided to wear a few different shades of camel for her look. She paired her brown booties with a classic Louis Vuitton Speedy bag and her camel-colored scarf to tie up the look. Her black leather jacket and dark wash jeggings provided much needed contrast to all of the light brown shades. If you are feeling daring, try to go for a monochrome camel outfit and wear different shades of camel to keep your outfit interesting.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Wear anything that is cute but comfortable. If you put a scarf on, you can dress anything up; it makes you look put together.”
