With the last few days of rain coming to an end, it is now the time to bring out those new pair of shoes! Biker pants, brown leather brogues and a simple yet casual shirt are best presented as an authentic style. Brogue leather shoes and biker pants are definitely trending this summer. I asked the Fashionisto what his definition of fashion is, and he told me: “Fashion is the freedom to express yourself. People are too afraid to dress how they want because they do not want to be judged. If you have the nerve to buy a unique item that no one else has, then flaunt that given style. Where do I even begin? I remember when I was 14-years-old and the coolest thing in my wardrobe was an Abercrombie & Fitch shirt and skinny corduroy pants. Nowadays, my style consists of a mix between few high end pieces blended with urbanwear. My favorite stores will forever be UNIQLO, Billionaire Boys Club and Bape.”
Drawing inspirations from designers such as Kanye West and Pharrell Williams has been rewarding in the fashion world today. The Fashionisto also told me that “for as long as I can remember, Kanye has never been afraid to express himself and break the walls of restrictions. For God’s sake the man wore kilt! Pharell is just the same, except he is more urbanwear and I love it. It is amazing how they pull off everything.”
The Fashionisto has the right casual yet dressy memo. He wore a black John Varvatos patterned shirt with his black Isabel Marant cotton jeans to help him contrast his look without going overboard. The scattered logos and prints are interesting and make the shirt pop. The biker jean style has etched a significant place for itself within its trend. The jean is both stylish and casual. His brown leather brogue shoes worked perfectly with the overall view of the outfit. To top everything off, the gray nylon umbrella helped the outfit stay classy but cool.
The casual yet dressy movement is not going anywhere. The best way this Fashionisto showed off his style was by keeping it simple in an effort to not overdo it. He definitely conquered bringing runway to the streets with his authentic style technique.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My mood inspired me to dress this way. I felt powerful and elevated. People should rely more often on the way they feel rather than just throwing a random item on. It also gives us the chance to wear clothes that we do not usually wear because let’s face it, we all have that one pair of pants we have not worn in a while.”
