In the words of renowned fashioned designer and sartorial icon, Coco Chanel, “A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.” This Fashionista is definitely living up to Ms. Chanel’s standards! By pairing simple black items with little pops of color she puts a modern spin on a classic style. This outfit is perfect for those occasionally warm fall and winter days, of which we’ve had quite a few in Bloomington!
This Fashionista’s stylish vest coupled with her black Chanel cross-body and dark gray jeans add elements of sophistication and edge to her look. These three items should be staples in every Fashionista’s wardrobe this season. They can be dressed up, dressed down and worn for almost any occasion. Plus, they’re comfortable and easily transferable from day-to-night.
My favorite component of this outfit would have to be the Sam Edelman “Fries Before Guys” slip on espadrilles. I didn’t know it was possible to be this obsessed with a shoe until now! To quote the Sam Edelman site, they’re the “ultimate girl power statement.” Fabulous to no end, I know this Fashionista’s footwear would make our girl, Coco, proud.
When putting together your ensemble for the day, no matter the event, it’s important to keep Coco Chanel’s words in mind. You can never go wrong rocking the classics and spicing them up with a statement piece! If you choose to go this route, just be sure that your outfit is in balance. It’s important that your “fabulous” and “classy” are complements to each other, not distractions!
