To demonstrate her strategy of mixing neutrals and a statement piece, today she’s put together a look primarily made up of simple basics including a casual black Forever 21 scoop neck top paired with a dark wash pair of skinny jeans from American Eagle Outfitters. She’s cuffed her jeans to create some dimension and to show off her edgy, suede DSW Qupid booties. Seemingly simple, but she adds a third piece that ties her look together: a flowy, multi-colored striped vest also from Forever 21.
To add a touch of her personal style to her look she adds a few Alex and Ani charm bangles and layers two sterling silver Etsy necklaces. These trinket-inspired accessories all resemble a few of this Fashionistas favorite things. So much of her look is compiled by who she is and where she comes from, and that effort genuinely shows. She draws her inspiration from within to define her own look as opposed to religiously investing in magazine subscriptions and following models on Instagram. Her look is authentic and therefore resonates with fashion enthusiasts alike.
