The semester has officially started for me and I’m already feeling overwhelmed. From test to paper and everything in between, I’m feeling the stress catch up to me. This has lead me to reach for the most comfortable yet cute clothes in my closet. This includes bomber jackets, boyfriend jeans and all types of hats to cover up my bedhead. When I’m rushing to class I want to be as comfy as possible but I still want to look put together. Using a few key pieces allows for me to feel dressed up without all of the effort.
A basic black T-shirt and black jeans can go from basic to chic with a few simple changes. Finding one piece that you love can elevate the outfit. For me adding a bomber jacket or a wide brim hat to a basic outfit can turn a simple look into something amazing. If you’re still enjoying warmer weather you can always trade the jacket in for a light sweater or a cute pair of sandals.
You can also take your basic outfit from day to night by switching out the bomber for a leather jacket and flats for heels. Whether you’re going from class to class or a night out with your best friends you can be comfortable and chic all at the same time. You can also experiment with a variety of accessories like hats, necklaces, scarves and anything else you can think of. The simplicity of the outfit allows for you to be comfortable and fashionable while you take notes in class.
