Here in Canada, Mother Nature has yet to get the memo that spring has sprung. The weather is still fairly frigid and a jacket is still very much necessary. However, there are glimpses of warmth when the sun comes out of hibernation. With this unpredictable weather, the only solution seems to be culottes.
Culottes are a trendy new way of mixing shorts with pants. They are perfect for this type of weather when it is not too cold but not too hot, or in other words, perfect weather for Goldy Locks!
This Fashionista paired her culottes with a long white shirt, a black, always fashionable leather jacket and black heeled booties. Dior, “so-real” look-a-like sunglasses, along with a chic mid-sized snake print shoulder purse is added. Despite all of the elements playing an equally important role in making this outfit stylish, the culottes manage to stand out above all. They take the outfit to a new level, and bring power to the wearer. This Fashionista could wear this outfit to the office, easily being mistaken for a Girl Boss with the power she exudes, or go out for a night on the town with friends.
Culottes are so versatile and can be worn in a number of ways. However, no matter which way, or in which style they are worn, they are always super flattering and elevate the wearer’s entire outfit.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I like to stick to the basics while still adding my own unique touch. Black is a very strong color in fashion, which is why most of my outfit is black, with only a hint of white and my snake print purse. I think it’s important to let your clothing do the talking and to try to think outside the box within the realm of fashion.”
