STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Crop It Like It's Hot

It’s officially spring—the time of year when Mother Nature changes her mind like a girl changes clothes (thanks, Katy Perry). With the temperature going up and down like a yo-yo, you may find yourself wearing sandals on Monday, a parka on Tuesday and rain boots on Wednesday. Luckily, this Fashionista has found the perfect fix for all of nature’s springtime mood swings.

This Fashionista has paired a white crop top with a faux fur jacket, a perfect combination for sunny days, chilly nights and everything in between. By following her lead and styling a crop top with the cold weather pieces that are still filling your closet (think duster coats and other cozy essentials), there’s no reason you need to wait until summer to take your favorite tops out of hibernation. Wearing high-waisted pants will also keep your tummy warm if Mother Nature pulls a fast one: this Fashionista has opted for a pair of black skinny jeans.

To complete her monochromatic look, she’s wearing heeled booties and a pair of super rad glasses that gave me a much-needed reminder, as I curse my painful contact lenses, that 20/20 vision is totally overrated.

The next time this crazy spring weather makes you feel just as confused as you did taking your calculus midterm, remember this Fashionista. And if you can’t decide whether to bundle up or show some skin, do a little bit of both!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Pair bulky winter essentials with your sleek summer pieces for a cool combination of silhouettes that’s perfect for spring temperatures.”
