With the ’90s grunge trend back in full swing in 2016, a denim jacket is a necessary staple for any wardrobe; more specifically, an oversized, distressed or worn-in denim jacket. The reason that I love this trend so much is because of its versatility. Wear it to the grocery store, to class or even dress it up for a night out. A piece like this has endless possibilities within your wardrobe and can be worn over and over again. And who doesn’t love getting their money’s worth?
Another reason I love a good denim jacket so much is because its simplicity allows you to add detail to other parts of your look. This Fashionista chose to dress up her denim by pairing it with an amazing cut-out knot dress. This detail makes her outfit that much more on trend and unique. She keeps her look casual with classic black Vans but could easily dress it up by swapping them out for a pair of heeled booties. Like I said before, the beauty of a simple outfit is being able to add detail with accessories—and this Fashionista did just that. She’s wearing a black choker necklace that adds another oh-so-’90s touch to her look. And lastly, probably my favorite accessory: rose-colored reflective sunglasses. I have been seeing this trend so much lately and I must say, I love colored lenses for summer time!
