I am almost 100 percent sure that if you’re reading this post you are a lover of fashion in some way, shape or form. Well, I ask you to think back on the first time you fell in love with fashion. What about it pulled you in? For me it was Coco Chanel, more specifically, a Coco Chanel quote: “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street. Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” This quote is what made me fall in love with fashion because it was way more than what met the eye. When I came across this Fashionisto he took me back to that moment when I first fell in love with fashion.
At first glance his look is subtle and simple with an olive colored short sleeve shirt paired with the essential black jeans. However, he steps his look up by adding a Time Teller Nixon watch, adidas Ultra Boost and sporting a hat from his own brand, Asher. Although the hat is a small detail, it is what caught my attention. This Fashionisto takes the “dad hat” trend and truly makes it his own. The light distressing of the hat allows it to stand out against the many baseball hats created by new designers. The branding is prominent yet not too loud or overbearing and still sparks interest.
The inspiration to create his own brand comes from the idea to restore meaning back into fashion. This Fashionisto’s ambition reminded me of the ambition in Coco Chanel that I admired. The ability to swim against the current and create something bigger than yourself when the whole world is telling you to give up. Wear your ambition like your favorite piece of clothing and make your mark on the World.
