Just like that the amazing summer ’16 is coming to an end. It’s about that time to start embracing the oncoming change in fashion and weather and get prepared for fall courses. As much as I love the summer season I do enjoy the switch to fall that you begin to feel and see in fashion as well as the beginning of a new college semester.
However, it can be a little tricky to start incorporating some of those fall looks that are hitting the racks when in some places the weather hasn’t quite begun to change. I know in Florida we don’t really feel a change until October and we can stretch out some of the summer trends.
I spotted a Fashionista rocking a look that I thought was a cute way to try to incorporate some fall looks yet be comfortable and cute. She is wearing a gray midi dress, a black fedora, Birkenstock sandals and a gray backpack from Zara. What stood out to me about this Fashionista was that even though this can definitely be seen as a summer look, the colors of the outfit screamed the beginnings of fall to me. The darker tones really can help you transition some of your outfits. I also really liked her fedora as well. A dark-colored fedora or a floppy hat is a classic fall trend that seems to always come back and is a great item to add to your back-to-school outfit as we exit the summer season. I love wearing them in the fall semester not always to class but to many campus events in the fall such as football games.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I think that people should wear what makes them comfortable. I love the fall season in fashion and I can’t wait for sweater weather and to wear more fedoras!”
