With classes in full swing for most college students, the initial hype of dressing up for the first few days of class has passed and the comfortable clothes are starting to make their way out of our closets. This is especially true since the colder weather is also approaching as summer slowly fades out. It’s natural for us girls to grab the first thing in our wardrobe that looks like it will be comfortable as you sit in a cold classroom all day. For most of us, that means bringing out the yoga pants.
What I’m here to tell you is that yoga pants do not mean that you have to sacrifice style by any means. Here we have a cute Fashionista rocking some Lululemon yoga pants that stray from the norm of the traditional black look. The white bottoms give the entire outfit a face lift from the start, as they still have that summer vibe to them. I also love the feminine touches she adds by pairing the leggings with a cold shoulder periwinkle top and a dainty bow ring. She also wears her fitbit, which I think is a perfect accessory that is functional and cute, especially in the teal color she has on. This outfit screams style, comfort and functionality, making it the best of both worlds.
I think one thing we can all agree upon is that the growing athleisure trend makes it so easy for us to throw together outfits and still call them stylish. I know that this fashionista in particular loves to bring out her athletic side since she works as an athletic trainer on campus, but I adore how she blends the trend with girly details.
I know I’m not the only one who has spent a few too many days in my athletic gear, even if I’m not headed to the gym. It’s comfy, and we all know it. I’ve been told to let the yoga pants go because they aren’t stylish, but this fashionista clearly disproves that statement. So I say it’s okay to dress for comfort, and despite what you may have heard, it doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice a great look to wear them.
