With summer time now in full session, that means one thing is upcoming: music festivals!
Festival vibes have been taking over street style trends for some time now, and for some channeling their inner gypsy/goddess is easier than for others. Even if you aren’t going to any music festivals this summer, it’s still fun to play around and experiment with all the free spirit looks we see taking over runway shows this season.
For this look, this Fashionista decided to take the festival look and turn it into an everyday outfit. Although technically yes it is summer, the weather in eastern Washington sometimes still gets a bit confused and decides to be unpredictable.
This loose fit, floral long-sleeve dress is a essential staple piece and an absolute prefect place to start styling a cool, boho summer day outfit. On top of the navy dress, is an oversized knit vest that gives the outfit a layering look, also making it a little more casual. I’m in love with the playful print on this dress, and with the contrasting vest, it gives the outfit a flirty look, and it’s totally easy to accessorize!
Fun accessories always adds a little more charm and spunk to outfits and this Fashionista did a great job at that. She threw on some silver rings, a necklace and our favorite essential to every outfit: the black, wide-brimmed hat. For the jewelry, she kept it pretty simple with a stone theme, included in the long necklace and also the turquoise ring. One of my favorite parts of this outfit is how the dark colors of the outfit really make the vibrant pink lipstick and nails more noticeable. For shoes, she also kept it simple and stuck with a gray matte combat boot. These accessories are beyond perfect for any musical festival that you’ll attend this summer!
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK?: “Taking risks, and layer! The two most important pieces to putting together the perfect festival outfit. Also don’t forget Fashionistas: a basic felt hat and accessories can make the world of difference to making your outfit stand out above the rest!”
