STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Flare in Fall

Fall is upon us, which means sweaters, riding boots and pumpkin spice everything. Shorts are now a thing of the past, and itโ€™s time to dig out your warmer clothing for the cooler temperatures. Here in Flagstaff, we are experiencing some transitional weather, so itโ€™s not quite cold enough to break out the scarves and beanies, but still chilly enough to lightly bundle up. During this time, cotton, flared pants are the perfect go-to garment.

Flared pants come in many different patterns and prints. They are usually made of a stretch knit, so they are comfy, breathable and almost feel like pajama pants. Printed flared pants are fun and can be dressed up and worn on a lunch date or just thrown on when youโ€™re lounging around your apartment.

Our Fashionista wears a pair of boho stripe printed flared pants. She pairs them with a white flowy top and a denim jacket. She accessorizes her outfit with gold, layered necklaces, sunglasses and a pale pink, cross body Michael Kors purse to take this outfit from casual to chic. Stretch-knit flared pants tend to be on the longer side and may drag on the ground as this Fashionistaโ€™s did, so keep that in mind when choosing shoes to wear with these pants.

You can find these versatile pants just about anywhere. Retailers such as Forever 21 and Target have a great selection of flared pants, and the best thing about these pants is that you donโ€™t have to sacrifice comfort to be stylish.
