I do not usually get attached to certain fashion trends, but one trend that I cannot ever seem to let go of is denim jackets. Denim jackets are great because they are lightweight, go with just about everything and provide a light layer for chilly weather. The best part about denim is that it is a classic trend that will never go out of style, I have seen pictures of my mother rocking the iconic jacket in the ’80s and she still looks trendy not outdated style.
Another great thing about denim is you really cannot go wrong with it; the only exception to my statement is Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake’s all denim attire at an award show years ago. Besides that one fashion faux paus, you really cannot go wrong with denim and it is such an easy to attain statement piece to add to your wardrobe. Some of my favorite denim jackets have come from thrift stores and were dirt cheap! If thrifting is not your thing, I totally recommend checking out Levi Brand Jeans, Gap and even American Eagle Outfitters for a great selection of denim jackets.
I spotted this Fashionista as she was on her way to class. I love how she took a distressed light wash denim jacket and paired it with a striped T-shirt with a cute little knot on the bottom, the pairing was very classic but also carried out nautical vibes in the look. To keep the outfit comfortable she added leggings, which are every college girl’s best weapon and Chelsea boots. I am a huge fan of this outfit and I definitely plan on replicating something similar to this look in the future!
