Living in the Windy City, we Chicagoans are definitely no strangers to crazy weather. Just last week, it was 50 degrees and sunny, and today we were surprised with light flurries of snow. Crazy, right? Luckily, our Fashionista came prepared for Chicago’s very unreliable weather. With trendy, monochromatic outfit layers and a hot pink shirt peeking out from underneath, she’s ready for anything!
This Fashionista creates a nice palette for her look by surrounding her pink top with an all-black ensemble. Her tall black boots paired with black leggings give her look a casual feel, but by adding the two-textured black jacket she gives her outfit a splash of edge. The leather sleeves and accents of her jacket make it appear very chic, and the layered top of her jacket creates a beautiful neckline. I also absolutely love the off-center front zipper. I worked at AllSaints over the holiday season and there were many jackets that shared this unique style. It makes the jacket stand out from other jackets, as it gives off a very intriguing charm.
The cherry on top is her sparkly necklace that gives her outfit a gorgeous, girly touch. It pops perfectly against her hot pink top and gives her look that springtime glow. It’s only appropriate that, even though Chicago springs can be unpredictable, we bring all of our bright colors out of the depths of our closets. Whip ‘em out ladies, now’s the time!
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Don’t be afraid to dress up an otherwise casual outfit with a chic jacket!”
