STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Going Out Gorgeous

Alright, we’re all college kids and most of the time we work our behinds off all week! Usually our nights look something like this: late hours in the library, endless piles of papers, never-ending meetings for various clubs and organizations and textbooks so high, sometimes they’re hard to see over. But every now and then, we get to go out with friends, break out the party pony and have a little bit of carefree fabulous fun! Sounds easy, but the trick to remaining stylish is to stay “in fashion” without looking like everyone else.

First, go with a romper! Rompers have become quite a thing lately. They are cute, fun and you don’t have to think about matching, but typically they are seen as a daytime look—that’s wrong! Rompers are one of my favorite things for hitting the town in, and this Fashionista is doing an amazing job showing just how stylish they can be for going out when dressed up right. Rompers rock for going out because they are a little different from what everyone else usually wears, so they have a fun sassy edge associated with them. She picked a romper that had a high neck, which drew eyes up to her facial features and made them shine. Then the full coverage of the high neck was balanced out with a sheer back to keep the look flirty.

Besides the main show of the romper, there were a lot of details that this student added to this look to keep it so stylish. The nude stiletto heels elongate her legs, which, of course, is always goals. However, what stopped the shoes from looking too basic is their strappy matte design, keeping them with the modern style.

But, it doesn’t stop there! We mix it up by adding the sweet element of pearl earrings. Pearl earrings are my go-to 90 percent of the time because they look awesome and go with just about anything. Plus, as a girl who attends a major SEC school, I know just how important it is to always have your favorite pair of pearl earrings nearby.

We have the sass, edge and sweetness, but the party pony always brings in the fun! When I was a kid they were just half up, half down ponytails, but to every college girl across America, they will live on as the party pony. It’s such a great look for everyone because it makes you look bubbly, while keeping the hair out of your face!

Tying this look up in a bow is of course done by mixing up styles of jewelry! Lauren accessorized with three different Alex and Ani bracelets. My favorite bracelet is the gator because it is a subtle and cute way to rep some school spirit no matter where she goes. Her rings are all very unique from each other, yet go together perfectly since they are similar metals. This Fashionista looked absolutely stunning in this look, and so can you when you follow these tips!
