Spring weather is not always mild for students at the University of Florida. While some days can be cool and breezy, other days can be downright sweltering! It’s not uncommon for the months of spring to have temperatures in the mid-80’s and sometimes low 90’s. If you are living here, you must accept that the weather fluctuates like crazy. Hot weather doesn’t wait for summer down here!
What unfortunately comes with hot weather are also many fashion limitations. Full sleeves, long hemlines and thick materials are usually out of the question when getting dressed! While tossing on a cotton tank top is probably the most comfortable clothing option in our southern climate, it’s not always the most stylish choice. However, this Fashionista made a compromise and found a way to stay both cool and trendy by wearing an edgy graphic tank top.
This Fashionista’s outfit proves that anyone can keep an outfit interesting without having to sacrifice comfort. Instead of wearing just a plain, casual shirt, she created an eye-catching contrast by layering her graphic tank top over a floral bralette. To add some glamour and maturity to her ensemble, she donned a pair of high-waisted jeans and quilted leather booties. As we can see with this Fashionista’s bold look, beating the heat does not always have to be a style defeat.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I like to wear tops that are light and airy but still show my shape. You won’t sweat like crazy and you’ll still be able to get some cute outfits together.”
