STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: I'm with the Band

Almost everyone has a few favorite bands where they know pretty much every single song on their albums, love to scream their songs at the top of their lungs or dance wildly to every beat of their songs. However, most die-hard fans don’t just show their support and express their love for their most beloved band or musician just by listening to their music and going to their concerts, but also by purchasing their merchandise, which could be quite fashionable.

Although T-shirts printed with a bands’ logo have been around for ages, lately it is really what seems to be making a great fashion statement. For example, many girls and guys have been rocking Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Pink Floyd and ACDC T-shirts. What is so great about T-shirts is that they are always a fantastic fashion statement because they can be worn where ever and however a Fashionista pleases. T-shirts have an infinite amount of ways to be dressed up. A Fashionista can turn her T-shirt into a dress paired with booties or even turn her oversized T-shirt into a crop top by tying the front of her shirt and then throwing on some distressed high-waisted Levi’s shorts with converse!

Not only can you dress up the T-shirt with accessories and other pieces of clothing, you can change up the actual T-shirt. I have also seen many fashion-forward celebrities like Kylie and Kendall Jenner wear distressed and bleached rock band T-shirts. That is what this grunge Fashionista was trying to accomplish. What she did was she found her favorite band, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, on a T-shirt and grabbed a pair of scissors and distressed it herself. She paired it with a caged choker and black and white high-top vans.
