As we have all heard by now, April showers bring May flowers. As an added bonus, with May flowers comes the opportunity to sport the trend of the season; jumpsuits. A seamless combination of bohemian-chic, jumpsuits are fiercely gaining popularity due to their flattering silhouettes and styling ease. Whoever sketched the pattern for the first jumpsuit was definitely up to something.
This Fashionista donned her navy and white floral jumpsuit for a day of shopping. The high neckline is contrasted with the playful opening and tassel ties, and the cool color palette is spring-like without overwhelming the outfit with color. Instead, this Fashionista inserted a pop of color with her teal wedges, also featuring the same flirty tassels adorning her neck. Slipping her hands into her pockets, this Fashionista emulated casual-chic, as the wide legs of her jumpsuit danced freely in the cool breeze. Because sunnies are both an accessory and a necessity in Florida, she finished the look with a pair of round lenses in a tortoiseshell pattern.
Because they make a statement on their own, my advice is to accessorize jumpsuits simply. Pair with a long necklace and a sun hat for your spring vacation, or strappy heels and a leather jacket for a night out. Let the jumpsuit speak for itself, and choose a silhouette that you feel comfortable in. If you’re feeling bold, choose a jumpsuit with a fun pattern. If simple is more your style, black is always the way to go in my book.
