Every Fashionista/o I find has their own identity. It makes for awesome photo shoots, but I love their honesty when we talk about style advice. A lot of their advice comes from experience and a genuine heart. This is the first time I’ve done a STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK with a Fashionisto. I think it’s important to shed some light on the men’s side of the fashion world. So let’s hear it for the boys who occasionally like shopping and taking random photos with a Style Guru.
This Fashionisto was spotted during the rush hour of the day, and we all know the struggle to get to class in that crowd. The first thing I noticed were the amazing pair of oxfords he was wearing. Shoes like these are bound to draw attention, and that is exactly what he intended to do. Along with his golden oxfords, he played with patterns, one being the most worn on campus. He paired a camouflage jacket with a black and white T-shirt. Neutrals like these are great for mixing because they are so versatile. The infinity scarf he wore around his neck was great for pops of color. Since tans and browns are earthy colors included in this ensemble, the scarf kept to that theme with hunter green and plum colors.
This Fashionisto’s Kanye West confidence explains his cool accessories. He wears simple gold bangles and silver midi rings to contrast. The accessories and shoes were excellent choices to make this urban look more high end. The entire look reminded me of a collection at H&M or Urban Outfitters. It’s obvious that this Fashionisto is comfortable with dressing outside of the box, and qualities like this make being a Style Guru much more adventurous. Finding students who express themselves so effortlessly through fashion is the best. No one could ever say it enough. The best advice to anyone is to embrace yourself and your personality. There will never be another Fashionista/o like you.
