I know what you’re thinking. a boy on a college campus is not wearing a sweatshirt?! Yes, you see it correctly. This Fashionisto is wearing something that’s definitely more chic than a sweatshirt. It’s always difficult to figure out what to wear to class because you want to be as comfortable as possible. He succeeded with this outfit because it’s the holy trinity: comfy, chic and masculine.
We’ve seen men’s fashion transform, especially with millennial Fashionistos. Guys are wearing their clothes more tailored to fit their bodies, which gives us a better look at their physique. This Fashionisto is incorporating a popular trend that both genders can appreciate: statement footwear.
On the runway, Mark McNairy has made a staple with the shoes he has placed on models. McNairy has become more eccentric with the patterns and sole colors. In his autumn/winter 2014 runway show, we actually see camouflage.
This Fashionisto’s kinky boots are more simplistic with the peanut butter suede and navy strings. The shape is very trendy with the rounded toe and the short heel. He gives the look great texture with the chambray button-down and the burnt orange skinny jeans. His pant leg lays effortlessly on top of the boot, and it doesn’t take away from the shoe. But the most fashionable element about this look is that it’s not something we see every day. It’s so rustic that you wouldn’t think that it would be on a college campus. He belongs on a runway himself.
