Since it is just now starting to really feel like fall at the University of Mary Washington, I am anxiously waiting to see everyone break out their favorite cold-weather clothing. It’s no secret that I’m the number one fan of winter clothes, especially layering pieces. I write about it in almost every article. So when I saw this Fashionisto killing the layer game, I had to document it. Even though this outfit is super relaxed, the way the layers are paired up allows him to add dimension to his style without sacrificing comfort.
What first caught my eye about this Fashionisto’s outfit, were the sneakers he was wearing. The bright white was already eye-catching, but when I really looked closely at them I saw that they had a really cool 3M (reflective) effect when the light hit them just right. After I got over staring at the shoes, I realized that his layers were absolutely flawless.
Lately, I’ve been really loving extended tops for men. I just think they’re really cool when they’re paired with the right outfit. Since this Fashionisto is so tall, his extended layers hit in exactly the right place. The perfect fit of each layer is really essential in achieving the look. I love that he made sure every layer was visible in this outfit. Also, the neutral colors of the black undershirt and the tan jacket provide a great frame for the camo hoodie without being too “matchy-matchy”.
His accessories are super cohesive as well. They keep the look simple by not being too flashy, but they still add a lot of dimension. For me, this Fashionista is the embodiment of fall for men.
