Your alarm clock rings. With all your might, you roll over to turn it off. As you return back to your pillow, it dawns on you that it is Sunday and you start to reflect on the busy week you’ve had, full of homework, meetings, late nights with friends and exams. In that moment, you ultimately decide that today, you are not going to move because you deserve this day of nothing but your bed and a good ole’ Netflix marathon. However, your vision of a perfect day is suddenly ruined by remembering that TODAY IS SUNDAY: the day that has a list full of things you must get done in preparation for another hectic week of homework, meetings, late nights with friends and exams. You have no choice but to get out of bed–you didn’t just face the wrath of the previous week for nothing! In despair, you jump out of bed, head to your closet and grab the most comfortable T-shirt and sweatpants that you can find. You think to yourself that comfort is the key to get you through that brutally long list of things you have to get done—but is it really? Is being lazy going to make you productive? That doesn’t make any sense to me. If you look good, you will feel good and this Sunday will be easy to get through and productivity will be the least of your worries.
This Fashionista is an activist for the look good, feel good Sunday campaign. Her trick is to take a fun junky but comfy T-shirt and dress it up in the most comfortable way possible. Pictured above is her favorite example of a productive Sunday outfit. Strutting her favorite T-shirt, a flannel from Forever 21, a pair of comfortable black jeans from Code Bleu and a pair of black Vans, she is ready to have a productive Sunday. To finish off the look she added her favorite pair of hoop earrings from Icing, a Daniel Wellington watch and pulled her hair halfway out of her face with a top bun.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Putting your best foot forward, even if you are just going to the library, will make you perform better overall. Confidence is the key to success and nothing makes me feel more confident than being put together for the day. So toss the sweatpants, dress up that T-shirt, put on a little makeup and some jewelry, grab your coffee and grab your confidence to have a productive Sunday.”
