During the wintertime, it can be tough to balance staying warm and looking put together. When that cold air hits, those soft, warm sweatpants that you have sitting at home start calling your name. Vests are one of my favorite things to wear in the wintertime. Sometimes, large jackets and coats can look great on the outside, but they often cover up the gorgeous outfit underneath. One thing I love about vests is that they keep me warm, while also allowing me to show off other parts of my look. A lot of the time, vests look great with a variety of different pieces and can be played up with different tops, pants or other accessories. Whether it’s puffy or fur, colorful or neutral—a great vest is an essential part of anyone’s wardrobe.
This Fashionista decided to hop on the vest train and chose a brown shearling vest (faux of course—we both love animals). While she lets her RAD vest take center stage, she adds a few, subtle pieces to finish off her outfit. The soft ruffles on her top, the simple gold jewelry and the long, earthy necklace complete the look without letting the vest become too powerful. Another great addition to the look is her tall brown riding boots. Along with a great vest, an awesome pair of boots is a closet essential that can be paired with many different fall and winter pieces.
