Thank goodness for the first signs of spring that call for less bulky jackets, brighter colors and on a good day, even some sunglasses. I fell in love with this suave Fashionisto’s spring-approved blue leather bomber jacket as soon as I saw it, but surprisingly, what I love most about his look is the whimsical butterfly pattern on his shirt. I can’t remember the last time I wore a shirt covered in butterflies, but if I had to guess, I was probably in the eighth grade and I probably didn’t look nearly this put together.
It can be hard to make a statement piece that’s silly, wild or quirky not look childish, but this Fashionisto perfectly compensated a splash of playfulness with more mature and polished elements for a look that, although sophisticated, won’t take itself too seriously.
Complementing his fun (but definitely tasteful) button-up shirt, this Fashionisto chose shades of blues and browns as accented in the butterfly pattern for the rest of his look. His copper colored pants and subtly orange-striped brown boots play off of the cool blues worn on his upper body. Adding a little bit of edge and luxe, this electric blue leather jacket and darker navy leather belt perfectly frame the feature item. The outfit is completed by the cool and collected designer frames, balancing the look’s elements of sophistication, edge and whimsy.
