You know you’re a fan of a certain trend when you have a Pinterest board dedicated to it and for me, that trend is off-the-shoulder tops. They have been featured in almost everyone’s summer haul and I have been on the hunt for them for at least a month now. What can I say, I’m in love.
With that being said, I seriously could not resist pulling this Fashionista aside and snapping some pics of this beautiful top. The thick elastic band lays perfectly across the chest and is flattering from every angle. What drew me in the most were the mix of prints and different shades of blue. It walks the line between fancy and casual and because it is so versatile, it can be dressed up or down. If I owned this top, I’m positive it would be my most worn item.
A day in the life of this Fashionista consisted of morning tea at one of her favorite downtown hotspots and countless hours of shopping. Lots of shopping means lots of walking, and nothing feels better on your feet than a pair of Birkenstocks. Ripped low rise denim shorts are her bottoms of choice for days spent running all over town.
Because her top makes a statement on its own, she opted for minimalistic jewelry. Less is more and a stone cuff plus silver ring equals the perfect set of accessories. The stone cuff was purchased at an art fair and her sunglasses are from a local boutique making them both truly one of a kind.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I feel as though I definitely dress more practical than fashionable, but I think it’s important to feel good and look good! So I believe it’s important to step out of your comfort zone every once in a while and wear something unique that you maybe wouldn’t typically wear.”
