As the cold months have arrived in New Jersey, so have the many layers of clothing. Nothing says winter better than oversized sweaters, knee-high socks and tall boots. Back on campus, located on the top of a mountain, the winds have picked up and the temperature have dropped about five degrees lower than normal. This makes the walk to early morning classes even worse than usual. One way to beat the cold and laziness of early classes is with a comfortable yet cute winter look.
This Fashionista has taken this oversized, angled sweater and made it the main focus of her outfit. The sweater adds not only dimension with the angle in the front, but also with the striped pattern and gray color-blocking. This sweater is the perfect casual cute look and extremely versatile as well.
To coordinate with the sweater but still have it act as the main point in the outfit, this Fashionista added gray knee-high socks, which are the perfect addition to complement the gray accents on the sweater. Next she added a black bandeau with two crossing straps in the front for an extra little peek into the outfit. Lastly, to top it off, she added two necklaces to coordinate with the colors on the sweater.
This outfit is perfect for any casual day around campus when one has to walk far to the other side of campus or sit in long classes. The leggings paired with the outfit make it comfortable enough to not want to quickly run back to the dorm and throw on large sweatpants.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Experiment. Try new clothes, try different looks. As long as you are comfortable and confident, that’s all that matters.”
