I found this Fashionisto walking around in his patterned outfit for a day at the lake. He took a fun pair of khaki shorts with navy blue lobsters embroidered on them and a Ralph Lauren short sleeved, linen button-down with a few summer colors mixed in. The navy from the plaid matches the lobsters perfectly. Obviously this Fashionisto has been paying attention. He finishes the outfit off with a pair of canvas high-tops perfect for the summer look.
Are these patterns a little too bold for you? On your next shopping trip look for clothes with a more subtle pattern like small polka-dots or thin stripes. With these you will still be able to mix and match patterns but in a more understated way.
