This spring has been filled with sunshine in southern New Jersey, but many of us our still asking ourselves the same question, “Is it still too cold to wear my spring clothes?” While the mornings may still be a bit chilly, sometimes a bit of denim is all that you need to make a bold statement. Whether you’re on your way to class or going out to coffee with friends, slipping on the right pair of jeans and a classic denim jacket could make an incredible outfit.
This Fashionista’s killer outfit was started with a simple, tattered denim jacket and straight-legged jeans. To top it off she wore tall, gray boots that work well even during this seasonal transition. My favorite part about the denim this week’s Fashionista presents is the light, stone wash tone of both the jacket and the jeans. It can be tough to pair a denim jacket with a pair of jeans, but this Fashionista certainly had the right idea.
To continue her outfit, this week’s Fashionista wore a multicolored blouse that matches perfectly with the leg-warmers that are inside of her boots. The splash of delicate color adds more femininity to this edgy look. I also really like how this Fashionista was able to find the right boots to wear without making her seem like there was a seasonal mix up. This outfit is perfect for spring days where the weather could go either way. Between the color combination and selection of denim, this Fashionista is recognized on Rowan University’s campus.
