One month down, 11 more to go. It’s 2016, and yet it still feels like 2015 was yesterday. School is in full swing while students anxiously wait for the stress to just pile up. It’s not all bad though, the weather is starting to transition which truly does lift everyone’s mood up. So when you’re in the middle of Missouri and it’s suddenly 60 degrees outside rather than 20 degrees, you take full advantage.
That said, this Fashionista didn’t pass up the opportunity to leave the jacket at home. She looked chic in preppy neutrals with a pop of pink. The outfit includes a pink button-down, layered with an elbow-patch sweater, skinny jeans and white Converse. She also added dainty pieces of jewelry to make it her very own, and pink lipstick to bring out some color. The Converse kept her comfy to run around and do errands. This was a perfect outfit to pair in the midst of a weather transition, warm yet light.
The preppy pairings aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but adding color to neutral palettes is a look everyone can achieve. It’s a great way to incorporate the beginning of spring time while the windy weather starts to warm up. This Fashionista kept it comfortable and stylish in the midst of the continuous weather changes.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I love to play around with bright colors without being overwhelming. If you don’t think it’s your thing, just give it a try and you might come to find out that it is.”
