With the new season finally arriving in the south comes new fashion trends. Many Fashionistas have a hard time choosing between wearing shorts for when it’s hotter in the beginning of the day, or jeans for when it’s cooler in the evening. Sometimes people pack different outfit options in their backpacks because the weather change can be so drastic in such a short amount of time. The weather was in that awkward transition phase of the day when I ran into this Fashionista, and she was wearing the perfect solution, rolled-up jeans.
Rolling her straight cut jeans to hit just above the bottom of her calf, this Fashionista looked like she’s been comfortable all day no matter how the weather changed. The looser fit of the jeans helped show off the rolled-up part while still being flattering to her figure. She opted for a simple pair of brown flats with a bow detail to prevent shorter looking legs. For the upper half, this Fashionista wore a simple gray shirt and a navy blazer with, you guessed it, rolled-up sleeves! The rolled-up part of the blazer adds a little detail with soft blue stripes. She also decided to keep it open to give it a more casual look. To match her shoes, she paired her outfit with a brown cross-body bag.
Though she did not wear any traditional accessories, she added a bit of uniqueness to her outfit with her wayfarer-style glasses with half-rims. It compliments her face shape very well and shows off her personality. Personally, this is my favorite part of her outfit!
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Dress up for school more often. You don’t have to be in a ball gown or anything like that, but show off your personal style. School, especially college, is the best time to experiment with your look and to wear whatever you want, when you want!”
