I’ve never met anyone who said they hate fall, not a single person. What’s there to hate? The leaves that change into beautiful hues of red, orange and yellow? The crisp air that makes you a little chilly without making you feel like a thin layer of ice is encompassing you? (I’m looking at you, December, January and February).
One of the best ways to honor fall is rocking neutrals and earth tones that show true appreciation for those leaves that we love to kick and throw in the air. That’s exactly what this Fashionista did. Taking advantage of the in-between weather, she paired a denim vest with an orange and black thinly striped ¾ sleeved shirt. She added a pair of black leggings, leg warmers, and combat boots to top off the autumn aesthetic.
My favorite thing about this look is the striped shirt. It’s as if she took inspiration from everyone’s favorite fall fruit, pumpkins, which typically gains sudden stardom around this time of year. Instagram pictures of pumpkin patches and aerial shots of pumpkins strategically placed in front of a pair of boots make their way around social media and we know that fall has found its way to center stage. The styling of the denim vest with the shirt also made for a photo-worthy moment. Denim is in, and I mean in. Here, it helps to tone down the striped shirt and add a bit of an edgy element.
Give an ode to the earth. Wear your neutrals and earth tones and show some love to the season that thrives on vibrantly muted colors. Rock the burgundies, the burnt oranges and the olive greens. Oh, and keep the pumpkin patch pictures coming…even if it is November now.
