STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: So Totally Suede

Unless you’ve been living under a rock lately, you know that suede is a major trend right now. While fall is quickly upon us, the trend of suede is seen everywhere as it transforms warm-weather garments into perfect transition pieces. Replacing jean shorts with suede shorts, a jean jacket with a suede jacket or a crochet top with a suede top, it makes any outfit perfect for the cooler weather that comes with fall.

Suede is so much more than just a fabric; it has the ability to transform any outfit into something reminiscent of the past or on trend with the present. Suede is a fabric that makes any outfit look effortlessly chic. Not only can it be used in outfits during the fall but, due to its richness, it can also be used into the winter months with the pairing of more heavy pieces.

This Fashionista always looks like a million bucks. She knows how to mix prints and pieces in ways no one else would think of. Not only is she always on top of the latest trends but she also knows how to make them her own so she stands out in whatever she is wearing. Not only does she know how to perfectly style clothing, but she also designs and sews the most beautiful pieces you will ever see. She is so talented and expresses her personality in the clothing she wears and the clothing she designs.

This Fashionista took a typically summer outfit (crop top and shorts) and turned it into the perfect fall outfit with the use of her suede shorts. She balanced the heaviness of the suede with the lightness of her crop top. The color of her suede shorts is the perfect neutral to balance out the colorful nature of her jacket. Suede makes colors appear their absolute richest so even though her shorts are understated and neutral, they are not lost within the details of her outfit.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “While some people may hate the time between summer and fall, I absolutely love it. I love being able to take my staple summer outfits and make them into a fall outfit with the use of a transition piece.”
