Black on black… really? You may be questioning such a dark color in such a fun and vibrant season, but have no fear because black is always on trend. This season playful dark graphics are taking the stores by storm and they are sneaking their way into your wardrobe. This Fashionista was looking chic as ever strutting the streets in her black on black ensemble. And let’s be honest, black will always be the new black.
If you’re ever hesitant to wear bolder colors or spring pastels, there is no shame in keeping it timeless and simple. There are no penalties to sticking to the darker side of the color spectrum because in black you will always look effortlessly cool and sophisticated.
This Fashionista was dressed for a chilly, yet sunny spring day in New York City. From the top to the bottom she had on shades of gray (not 50) and was rocking every one. She wore a gray twisted headband over her ears and had aviator-style sunglasses on. She had a fluffy black scarf, a zip up peacoat jacket with silver hardware and a gray and black horizontal striped sweater peaking out from underneath. She had shiny leggings that added a nice flare and wedge ankle boots. She had a black studded shoulder bag to finish the look off. Keep it clean and classy like this Fashionista’s look or add a burst of color, either way you can’t go wrong!
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “When in doubt I always go to black because it’s classy, professional and always chic. Although it is spring, black matches everything and it is flattering in any season. It also helps to mix and match with spring pieces when it is still cold and snowing outside, it’s a nice transition color to pair with spring pastels.
