Spring has finally arrived in New York City! New Yorkers are known for our all-black, monochromatic ensembles. We love to layer different textures of black. Even though we are infamous for this dramatic look, we also know how to add color into our wardrobes. Us New Yorkers keep our outfits clean and minimal and add color with accessories and shoes. You can wear a simple T-shirt, a pair of distressed jeans and a pair of colored sneakers. It’s an easy look for a Fashionista/o to achieve. Even though it’s so tough not to put on our favorite all-black attire, it’s spring, and we should embrace color!
I spotted after this Fashionisto class, and he was looing spring ready. He started with a crisp white short sleeve button-down. Every man should have one of these in their closets. It’s easy to throw on and can be dressed up or down. He tucked his shirt into a pair of classic blue jeans. The Fashionisto cuffed his jeans to show off his vintage oxfords. The purple is the perfect pop of color for spring. The purple is not too loud, but it also makes a statement. He accessorized with gold jewelry and a black bowler hat. This outfit is the perfect way to embrace spring colors if you’re not fully ready to add color throughout your attire.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Put some spring in your step and embrace the colors of the season! Skip the black, and add a pop of color with your shoes and accessories.”
