But with the weather getting extra snowy around here, it’s easy for us to lose the motivation to get dressed up for class. Still, this Fashionisto’s warm winter outfit doesn’t sacrifice any style for comfort. He taps into one of the biggest trends of both 2014 and 2015—gingham. This pattern was all the rage for spring/summer 2015 ready-to-wear collections. Everyone from Michael Kors to Diane Von Furstenburg to Altuzarra sent this checkered style down their runways. You could spot the print in skirts, tops and even coats. Just because the trend was everywhere during the womenswear collections doesn’t mean the guys can’t take the trend for a spin!
This Fashionisto pairs his fashion-forward gingham shirt with dark wash jeans and a more casual pair of lace-up Vans. He balances out the outfit perfectly, as not to look overdressed for the occasion. He stays warm with a puffy coat that he left slightly unzipped to show off his classy button-down. The coat features a fur hood that complements his outfit so well, and at last, he tops off his look with a few crucial accessories: a good Hershel backpack and some slick shades.
