STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Stroke My Ego

When creating my advertising visuals, it takes time and a lot of thought to make final decisions of design and typography. It is necessary to make sure each stroke width, color and message that I’m trying to convey complements each other. Design is an essential quality when it comes to the aesthetics of creations such as advertising, artistic drawings and even fashion. Designing is not as simple as one would assume, it takes more time than those with no experience may think. Simple ideas such as deciding if a stroke of a letter or shape should be bold or fine and if a color should be light or dark is very time consuming when trying to make the idea as a whole come together.

I ran into this Fashionista, who is wearing a romper that has a plain top and multi-patterned bottoms. Her bottom part of the romper consists of triangles, diamonds, lines and circles, each having a different stroke of thickness. The bold and fine lines and shades within the patterned design bring out a pleasant contrast that allows the eye to take in the whole outfit. The solid black top also helps guide the eye as it leads the viewer’s gaze to the bottom half of her romper. She matched her outfit with like-colored shoes of black and white, a cute penguin necklace, hoop earrings and a pair of shades.

I personally love rompers! Here is a stylish sexy piece with different colors, patterns and widths, if you don’t mind showing your midriff. Or here is another if you prefer a full length romper that has tribal prints with different patterns. You can also purchase a penguin, or animal inspired necklace from here! You can purchase these adorable Gucci sandals to match your outfit ensemble! Like semi hoops? Check them out here.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I shop on a low budget; I purchased these shoes for $5, and this outfit was cheap from Walmart.”
