Sitting in Spanish class, I decided to make good use of my time and glance around the room at the outfits people put together that day. From the shoes to the scarves, I love seeing how people incorporate different colors, textures and patterns. I’ve always thought winter fashion is the best fashion, from short boots to tall boots, to large sweaters and cropped sweaters, you can really layer and make simple elements to an outfit stand out.
At first glance, I didn’t take too much attention to this Fashionista’s outfit. It was simple and clean and it wasn’t until I took a second glance that I noticed all the different elements that really tied the outfit together. Looking quickly, I saw a Fashionista wearing leggings, leather boots and a sweater. Don’t get me wrong. Anyone who knows me knows this is my go-to outfit. It’s clean and stylish and requires little effort. Yet, there was something unique and classic about the outfit. The gold accents on her necklace matched the gold accents on her leather boots and sweater. Her jewelry, which included a white watch and black stone class ring, added that bit of color to offset all the gold tones, which look perfect with her skin tone.
My favorite piece by far on this Fashionista’s outfit is her sweater. I may be a bit biased because of my obsession with sweaters, but there’s no denying that this sweater is a twist on your everyday sweater. With enlarged poncho type sleeves, this short sweater is perfect to wear with leggings. The sleeves take this from your everyday sweater to a sweater with depth. The versatility of the sweater means you can go from class to dinner with your friends without having to change, which is always a good thing.
