What makes your style unique? Do you shop vintage, keep it minimal or take inspiration from a particular decade? This Fashionista does just that. Taking inspiration from your favorite decade can set you apart. Style icons such as Twiggy, Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Kennedy Onassis all have a distinct look that influence fashion today. For instance, the classic little black dress was made well known by Audrey Hepburn.
This Fashionista channels a ’60s vibe, especially with her mod-inspired sunglasses. This shape has made a popular comeback this summer. However, they are also a great statement piece that can be transitioned into the fall. Nothing says fabulous more than circle shades and a fur coat. Often an outfit’s details are forgotten; however, they are what make an outfit stand out. Sunglasses can change a look completely. Especially these retro, Twiggy-inspired pair.
To leave the focus on these sunnies, the Fashionista wears simple black attire. She pairs a boat neck top with a gorgeous flared midi skirt. Don’t even get me started on midi skirts. In a previous CollegeFashionista post, I raved about how versatile and fashion forward the midi is. It is not surprising that these skirts are also an influence from a past decade. To top off the look, she paired platform cutout sandals with the look. Who says you can’t add height while still looking RAD?
