Hello fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos! This week on campus, I spotted an up and coming freshman Fashionista! She may be young, but her style is definitely not to be doubted. Recently, I have really had a deep interest and fixation on hats. And specifically, I see a trend in the bucket hat style. Usually the bucket hat is used for a more athletic style to create a sporty look. But this Fashionista added her bucket hat and created a feminine look that is sure to turn heads.
Bucket hats were a trend not too long ago up until the ’90s and have recently been introduced again as a fashion must-have. They have been worn by female fashion icons such as Rihanna and Beyoncé Knowles while they were out and about shopping! This return has latched onto the eyes of trendy Fashionistas and Fashionistos everywhere, including this Fashionista.
Our new Fashionista loved the camera and kept giving me ideas on how to catch a style such as hers. She wanted a photo in every angle and every position. She was living for the spotlight! Obviously, the first thing I noticed about her outfit was her bucket hat and the way she styled her outfit to make it more feminine as opposed to the usual athletic look. I loved the green as a summer color with the pairing of the patterned shirt! Her jewelry added a nice shine to her outfit as well. Her sandals created the look a summer outfit that would be great for meeting up with friends! Her summer style makes her a style icon herself and I can’t wait to see more of her fashion again!
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Well, I love thrifting, especially for accessories. I may splurge on a cute top at Urban Outfitters, and then go to Goodwill and add to it. I also love comfy oversized T-shirts for the summer!”
