I am absolutely loving the slit top trend right now. It’s moved from nighttime wear to daytime casual, which is definitely more my speed, what with being a college student and all. It’s a super cool hybrid between a shirt and a dress, and completely amps up any casual ensemble. The ease to style and versatility of tops like these make it a staple in any wardrobe. I’m all about outfits where you can make a quick change, like swapping sneakers for heels, and suddenly your look has a whole new dynamic. I just had to feature this Fashionista when I spotted her sporting the slit top, and making it look effortlessly chic and edgy for her busy day.
The weather in Texas has been absolutely insane since I arrived back on campus. We’ve experienced all four seasons in just three weeks, so it can be extremely difficult and frustrating to choose an outfit when it feels like fall in the morning, summer in the afternoon and winter in the evening. That’s also why I can appreciate outfits that will still look stylish even when you switch out sandals for boots, and add a jacket and scarf for nighttime outings. I believe this Fashionista totally nailed the perfect look that can transition from warm to cold, which is another reason I really wanted to feature her!
You can find many variations of this top in almost any store, and it comes in many lengths, cuts and styles, so it’s up to you to find the perfect one for your closet! I also really liked this Fashionista’s clutch because it was super sleek and clean. She looks so effortlessly put together, and, of course, we all need something to carry our essentials! Some basic black booties, reflective shades and dark denim top this awesome outfit off.
This Fashionista successfully shows that wearing your favorite basics and a statement top really go a long way when communicating style and staying on trend. I don’t know about you, but now I feel like I have to go buy some more of these tops!
