It is my belief that “thrifting” is an art. It is safe to say many other Fashionistas/os would agree that finding valuable articles of clothing at a thrift store takes skills such as strategy, focus and a creative eye. The secret to thrifting is to find a piece that you can pair with newer items to create a unique style of your own. This often includes being able to transform second-hand items into something completely new and, well, YOU!
This Fashionisto has mastered the art of thrifting. He took an old sweater he found at a thrift store and distressed it himself. As you can see, he did a fabulous job. It is clear he has the creative eye it takes to be a gifted thrifter. To make the sweater chic and transform it into a staple of his wardrobe, this Fashionisto paired his creation with a few non-distressed items. His dark denim jeans and brand new Puma sneakers add refinement to his look and really pull the ensemble together. His gold Nixon watch is the perfect accessory to add to the outfit in order to transform the sweater from grunge to posh. His look is casual, yet classy and the best part is, no one in the world has the same sweater. This style savvy trendsetter is a great example for many Fashionistas/os of the world, and he deserves praise for his originality and his keen eye for style.
