My family and I had moved to a new house and, conveniently, a family with the same age daughter lived right across the street. From that moment on, this Fashionista and I became good friends. 2015 will mark our friend-iversary of seventeen years.
Compared to me, this Fashionista has an edgy style. She takes risks with her fashion choices and never fails to inspire me. Recently, she picked up a new pair of velvet sandals. Instead of waiting to wear them in warmer weather, she paired cable knit black socks with the sandals. Underneath the socks were thin black tights. For as long as I could remember, I have stayed away from pairing socks with my sandals. This Fashionista kept the outfit very sleek with all-black legwear and footwear. It looks seamless and chic.
Adding to her edgy look, this Fashionista incorporates a floral dress with black as the base color. Having black as the base color for the dress complements the black legwear and footwear nicely. You can also transition this look into spring with a lighter knit sock and pastel florals.
