One thing that I love about the summer, besides the warmer temperature, is the chance to rock bright, neon colors! It’s out with the drab darks and in with the bold, eye-catching highlighter shades! Neon colors make me want to sing, “Let the sun shine in.” They make me want to grab a Pina Colado. More importantly, neon colors make me want to be BOLD and make a statement, which is always a nice benefit of good fashion. Now, neon can get a little cheesy; think Katy Perry in her Last Friday Night music video or Zenon in her futuristic outfits that were way, way ahead of our time (who said the 21st century was going to look like that?). Dare I say it? Summers in Atlanta can get extremely hot. Bandeaus and bodycon skirts are staples on the Atlanta fashion street scene. While neon can be left to just sports clothing and EDM festivals, where is the fun in that? Wear neon in an everyday setting! Simply tone it down with some black, gray or white. If done right, neon colors can very well be your best bet.
