Summer is officially here, and with this week’s 80-degree weather, it is the perfect time to whip out the maxi dresses and floppy hats. Oh, did I also forget to mention that it is also the perfect time to whip out the tribal prints? Yes, tribal prints are trending this summer, and I am so excited! Lately I have been loving tribal patterns. When I’m either out shopping or shopping online, I’ve been keeping an eye out for pieces with Aztec and Navajo patterns because they are my favorites!
When I walked past this Fashionista, I just had to grab her attention to ask her about her outfit! The moment I saw her maxi dress, I fell in love. With the bright colors and tribal patterns, I was sold. She had on a strapless maxi dress from Rachel Roy, featuring vibrant tribal prints with colors of yellow, neon green, orange, coral red, pink and black. The maxi dress also had an elastic neckline and waist and two two slits on both sides which made the piece flirty and fun to twirl in. A tribal print maxi dress like this is a must-have for any wardrobe and is perfect to wear to the beach, the park or on a quick weekend getaway.
She paired her dress with brown leather sandals with buckles from Forever 21 and accessorized her ensemble with a mixed metal bracelet with charms and two mixed metal rings from Lucky Brand with coral red faux stones. She paired the rings to go with the vibrant red colors shown on her dress.
And lastly, to finalize her look, she went with a classic, black floppy hat with a twisted faux black band around it. The black floppy hat will never go out of style because it’s a great accessory for any outfit and gives it a classy look. Another thing that I love about this fashion statement is that if you happen to have a bad hair day, you can just throw on one of these babies. I find that this last piece makes the Fashionista’s outfit very chic, adventurous and at the same time, mysterious.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I love maxi dresses because they’re super comfy. It is my go-to outfit because I love how I can just slip into one and pair it with sandals, wedges or flip flops. I throw on a pair of sunglasses or a fun floppy hat to create a chic summer look!”
