Since spring has finally arrived, and it’s time to break out the newest trend this season! I would argue this season’s trend is a two-piece set. They are slowly making a breakthrough in stores and on campus. Whitney Eve’s clothing lines are full of different patterned two-piece sets.
This Fashionista is wearing a patterned two-piece set, but all black or all white are great options as well. This Fashionista is embracing spring with her pattern and color choice. Two-piece sets are combining the crop top and high-waisted shorts trend into something new and refreshing. This Fashionista’s ensemble is bohemian and preppy, but this trend is not tied down to those styles. I have seen some great off white two-piece sets which give more of simplistic look.
Why are two-piece sets the newest trend this season? They offer every Fashionista something different than their ordinary crop top, high-waisted shorts, dresses or rompers. The definition of a “trend” is the “general direction in which something is developing or changing.” Rompers are still a favorite of mine, and a two-piece set is similar to a romper, but simply cut in half, allowing for a little bit more skin to show. Showing skin is always an exciting part of spring since we have been layering all winter long. Lastly, two-pieces are the perfect compromise for someone who wants to throw something on and run out the door without having to worry whether her top coordinates with her bottoms. Besides top and bottom two-piece sets, there are also two-piece dress sets.
