Dead week is upon us and finals are coming up. You are literally running on coffee, snacks, red bull and more snacks. Your health may be taking a hit, but your style doesn’t have to. This week’s Fashionista shows us how to walk around campus in style.
The Fashionista’s outfit is a perfect example of a trend shown on the runway and transferring that to something that be street style. Her varsity bomber jacket is maroon with black faux leather sleeves and a panther patch can be seen on the upper left side of her jacket. On closer inspection, you can see the maroon section of the jacket is actually covered in leopard print. The jacket goes well with the white turtleneck underneath and keeps her warm. A beige-tone skirt with a gold belt helps keep the focus on the varsity jacket. She finishes the look with reddish-tone oxfords and a black backpack.
What happens a lot of the time is that you see something trendy, but you aren’t sure how to wear it. Well this Fashionista shows us one way of wearing the varsity jacket trend. It’s also a winter trend that you can take into spring by pairing it with lighter tones like the Fashionista did. Style the jacket with distressed jeans or with a plaid button-down tied around your waist for some extra ’90s vibes. So fight the end-of-the-quarter fatigue and wear this athletic-influenced trend—just not with athletic sweatpants!
