Now that winter has officially rolled into the Midwest, it’s time to start dressing for the frigid temperatures to be experienced on the long walk to class. Just because the temperatures continue to drop doesn’t mean the motivation to look stylish has declined as well. This Fashionisto proves that you can still look hot in the cold by donning the ever popular vest that has been seen a lot around North Central College’s campus this last week.
Vests are a great layering piece for any Fashionista/o. They can come in many different varieties, such as the puffy vest, faux fur and more! They can be thrown over basic tops to add style and warmth to your look. It’s also a piece that can be dressed up or down depending on if you’re going to class or out on a winter date. It’s a great alternative to basic sweaters and jackets that can elevate a simple look to something with style and polish.
This Fashionisto kept things simple for class by pairing his gray quilted vest with a camel half-zip sweater, some basic jeans and tan boots. His outfit works, because of his expert mixing of neutrals and keeping the focus on his amazing vest.
What’s your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Vests are a great way to add that extra layer of warmth during the winter while remaining well dressed. Having a dark color like gray or black keeps your look clean and sharp for any occasion. It’s a versatile piece that can go with anything.”
