While we (finally) welcome winter weather here in Rhode Island, one thing is always valued in our outfit choices–staying warm throughout the day. A vest is the perfect layering for any winter outfit; whether it is being paired with a cozy sweater or a simple long-sleeved T-shirt. Plus, there is no better way to add some instant chic to your outfit than with a vest.
The recent ups and downs of temperature in our area this winter make the decision of what to wear even more of a challenge. How do you know if you’re going to be warm enough in your sweater? A vest is the only outerwear option in scenarios like these and this Fashionista gives the perfect example of how a vest can give any simple everyday outfit a little something extra.
She pairs her white chunky sweater from Urban Outfitters with a suede and faux fur vest. The vest gives the sweater the added warmth she needs to travel to and from class without an extra coat. On the bottom, she has on a pair of maroon pants from Madewell. Pairing the neutral colors on the top with a colored bottom gives the classic “sweather and jeans” look a little something else.
To accessorize her outfit, this Fashionista wears a Michael Kors watch in rose gold with a simple ring from Madewell. On her feet she has simple chocolate colored booties (similar here).
