This one is for you, boys. More than in previous years, men are paying attention to, and following, current fashion trends. Boys are becoming more prominent in the fashion world and for all the fashion-forward guys, this is very exciting. Even women’s fashion trends are being inspired by menswear (hence the boyfriend jean). A new trend for both guys and girls is casual sportswear—clothing that you could workout in, and now, wear anywhere. When I saw this Fashionisto at our university apartment complex, I had to stop and ask about his casual and cool outfit.
Now that the weather is starting to shift. we see people gravitating towards lighter coats. This Fashionisto chose a jean jacket, and not just any jean jacket—one that was handed down from his dad. More and more people are heading to vintage stores to find used clothes and what better way to find vintage clothing than in your parents closet or grandparents’ basement? This Fashionisto layered his jean jacket with a casual zip-up jacket and a rock band T-shirt. To finish off his edgy look, he added a pair of black skinny jeans, which he tucked into black combat boots.
This just goes to show that a vintage jean jacket can be a timeless piece in anybody’s wardrobe, whether you are a guy or a girl. This Fashionisto does a perfect job of combining current trends with timeless pieces.
